How do JDE login work?

In general, JDE login administration is done through the menu gh9011 where you can have access to user management - P0092 / work with user and security management - user password.

You may opt to create login id in P0092 without create user address in address book P01012 (foundation module)
Normally it 's advisable to create address number (00001) before creating login id (P0092)

Steps in creating the login ID :
1.P00092 work with user - Add - Eg, user001
2. Insert new USER ID, Insert optionally on address nunber if this is is not tagged to any address number in Addressbook.
3. Press ok to save.
4. P98owsec /user security - Key in user001 to add the data source into that user001
5. By default, add data source "Business Data Prod" and "Local" with jde ID (system password)
If your fat client is demo standalone, just add "Local" would do.
6.Click Revise security for :
user status :01
Password change frequency : 0 : (unlimited) 1: Each day you need to change password
allowed password attempts: 2 (More 2 attempts, the ID will be disable)
Daily password change limit : 2 (If more than 2 password change, password change is not allowed)
7.You need to define their roles relationship for the new ID created. Each ID can have multiple roles and their sequence of running the roles.
8.Before assigning the role to id, pls check their role's environment option in P0092


note:  JDE only allow user to use back their old password after 10 times password change in user password revision But you may overcome this in admin password revision.
