CCTV Analog Cam vs IP Cam

For sake of high definition, IP cam got more what it takes to capture video in real time with HD like megapixel cam. One of the prestigeous vendors http://www.meritlilin.com/en/livedemo.asp are in this industrial . In term of costing, IP cam's cost is definitely higher as well as its power comsumption. Most probably each IP cam require 1 power adaptor.

   In typical analog cam CCTV, they require coaxial cable (RJ59) and BNC connector, power cable, power adaptor (12v10A), 1 unit DVR (normally 16channels / cameras allowed), camera and some accesories parts. From what i know is you might get it within RM20k. Those who require speedome cam which is 36x zoom lens (550tvline, PAL/NTSC) You might spend extra 6k - 10k for this.  Normally, the camera used does not has own IP but somehow rather is controlled by DVR with assigned IP over the ethernet LAN.

Eg, Analog cameras (700TVL,dome,IR, Panaroma) 

Pros:

- lower cost

- lower power comsumption

Cons:

- poor video resolution, non HD

- slower response when zooming

As for IP cam, they carry their own IP and the digital signal is carried over the RJ45 cable to NVR. So, clarity is expected.   Most of the IP cams come with HD (H.264) signal ranging from 720p to 1080p.
