Data Warehousing BO

What is called Data Warehousing BO /Business Object ? In general, it is known as databsase. Database has been widely used since couple of decades in the past. Still remember the Dbase IV for dos when i started to use it for student listing. When it progressed on, variety of databases have been developed. Such as MS Access, MS SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MYSQL and etc.....

For each ERPs, they are using different BOs. After ERP has captured the data into their BO, then BI so-called Business Intelligence will come in such as OLAP cube, dashboard , query tool and other reporting tools. BI is a place where all the logical output will be presented to help in decison-making.

For some BO using different 3rd party reporting such as MS Access, Infomaker, crystal report and etc...We may use ODBC, OLEDB and etc..to link to their databases. On my next post, I will give some ideas on how to link your BO to other reporting tools.
