Hi,there. Don't you notice some of the Acer Model PC or laptop require specific sata driver in order to install the OS? Eg, M1201 or As4710. If you were fan of DIY, u can actually do this in 2 ways .
Method 1 with floppy drive:
Download the driver located at Acer Support Then, extract the files and put them into diskette. If the driver is not found on the page, u may try download this third party driver.
Boot up with ur XP installation CD. Note: pls change ur boot prority to CD in CMOS when power on. Then press "F6" to load additional driver screen when the CD is running. After this, just insert the driver diskette into ur floppy driver in order to recognice the hardisc.
Method 2:
note: some Acer Models can bypass the sata driver if the CMOS screen sata mode is turn off. U may still use the non-sata driver XP CD.
Get back to 2nd method here, now we need to integrate the sata driver into CD. So, we need this Nlite software.

Run the software and follow the stepbystep screen to burn the CD directly or u may want to burn into ISO file format. Upon running this process, pls get the sata driver and XP CD or source in place. note: Nlite is a great tool for XP Automated installation. U can customize the way how it is intalled and pre-input product key. Try experience it.
