To create USB bootable XP setup

Normally, we run XP installation over the CD. Have u ever thought of using pendrive or other USB devices? Here are the steps.

1.Get a USB pendrive at least 1 gb or above.
2.download this Komku USB Tool
3.Extract the files and run c:\komku\PeToUsb\PeToUsb.exe and format the pendrive as below :




4.After finished, run \komku\bootsect.exe /nt52 h: "h = pendrive drive letter"
note:This is to create bootsector into pendrive

5.The last step is to run \komku\usb_prep8\usb_prep8.exe
Follow the the onscreen step and finish it off from 1 to 5 for configuration.

6.Lastly, ur USB XP is done and reboot ur computer and select option2 for 1st time installation. Make sure u change ur CMOS boot priority to USB drive.
