Hi, below is the answer :
Question 1: Can we run Invoicing (R42565) and Sales Update (R42800) multiple times per day? If I run all orders at 575 for freight update, 580 for invoicing and 620 for sales update will I have any data integrity issues as a result of these processes running during the day when the users are on the system creating new orders, shipping orders etc?
Answer 1: The Freight Update (R4981), Invoice Print (R42565) and Sales Update (R42800) programs do not have Record Reservation protection so that only one person can update or change a record at a time. If you run these during the day you could potentially create database integrity problems.
To avoid such problems you can set Sales Order Entry (P4210) Process Tab Option #1 (Status Code Limit for Changes) needs to be set to something less than 575 so users cannot update sales orders while Freight Update (R4981), Invoice Print (R42565) and Sales Update (R42800) programs are processing those orders.
