FAQ - Can't view attachment on citrix client

Pls refer below steps in order to allow other users to view the attachment created by the owner.


Question 8: Why are users unable to view attachments on the Citrix Server?  

Users attempting to attach some .JPG and .TIFF attachments using the FILE / URL in media objects. Once attached, users are unable to view the attachments. Issue only occurs on Citrix server. Fat Client workstations are able to attach and view the attachments correctly. Why is this occurring?

Answer 8: The Windows Component Object Packager is not installed on the Citrix Server. To install this component:
  1. Go to Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Add/remove Windows Components.
  3. Accessories and Utilities.
  4. Accessories.
  5. Ensure "Object Packager" is selected. If not, install it.

Note: The Object Packager component is a Windows utility that embeds a document as an icon inside another document. It is part of Windows' OLE (object linking and embedding). It also allows objects created by non-OLE compliant applications to be embedded. When the icon is double clicked, the application that created it is opened to view and edit it.  For additional information on this functionality contact Microsoft or Citrix.
When using Citrix, it is best to ensure the same version is being used locally as on the server.
