Basic Guideline on applying menu filtering on JDE E910

Steps in applying menu filtering as below :


1.  Turning off "secured task view" in task view revision P9000\form\taskreview   or
     In menu design\view\taskrevision

2. Add your user roles in P0092\form\addrole and \row\environments assign environment to them - .
Then define your user with these user roles Eg, smyeong tied with role : HSISIT1 , HSISPURC2

3. Take note that since 8.98 Tool release, you can not have chosen enterpriseone menu  as default menu after log in. The default will always be " EnterpriseOne Life Cycle Tool" on fat client.  Anyhow, you still manage to preset your user's chosen menu on E1 web.

4. Use menu filtering on fat client to filter those are needed for that specific user.  Open menu filtering,
5.Right click for "View by role"  select the required role Eg.  HSISPURC1
6. Then, select "view "  Choose EnterpriseOne menu.  From there, filter those are not needed by as shown below :

 7. After done, click "Save role" ; Repeat these steps for another role Eg, HSISIT1 and so on.

8 In order to see the changes, pls open P0092 \form\role relationship\form\enable role chooser

Tick the "Choose role on login page"  and "Choose role on menue filtering"
When you login, you need to log in with specific role Eg HSISIT1...The HSISIT1's menu will be reflected when you log in to E1 web..Same goes o HSISPURC1 if you log in with this role...

Above is with HSISPURC1 role , so it would only have supply managment menu after filtering done earlier.

Above is the example with HSISIT1 role, i can have all the menu.


What if you want to let user to choose roles which are available to choose on E1 web after login ?  You just go to role chooser - P0092\rolerelationship\form  and uncheck the  "Choose role on login page" and leave "choose role on menu filtering" checked

Then the E1 page will be as below :
