What is IDAP ? It 's an open industrial standard protocol used in directory service where it can manage user profile using multiple application. Eg, LDAP server version 3
JDE E1 now can support LDAP and once it's been turn on, the P0092 and P95921 will not function. User have to use 3rd party LDAP application to access LDAP server to manage their password, user role and etc..
The plus of this is that multiple applications do not have to manage their own password. The authentication will be processed over the single LDAP server. Security kernel will be used to communicate with E1 server and LDAP server.
How to turn on LDAP authentication ? Modify enterprise server's jde.ini in [section]
Security kernel will synchronize the user data Eg ID from LDAP into E1 server.
In order to add new user, you have use LDAP application and then R9200040 to synchronize all users from LDAP server into E1
How to enable LDAP in JDE E1 ?
1.Use P95928 to configure LDAP server
2. Modify Enterprise Server jde.ini and restart JDE service
