For EnterpriseOne 8.10 and above:
- Stop EnterpriseOne services and JAS Server instances.
- Change the database user password (user and login for SQL Server, AS/400 user profile, etc.). Note that some databases treat passwords as case-sensitive (SQL Server 2005, Oracle DB 11g, etc.).
- Disable Security Server in the server JDE.INI file.
- Disable Security Server in the client JDE.INI file. Use 1 machine to apply these changes.
- Login to the workstation with a valid E1/Database user account.
- Open P98OWSEC.
- Change the Proxy User password. The new password entered should be the same case as the database login password.
- Change the E1 user password. Uncheck the "Force immediate password change" option before clicking OK.
- Logout of workstation.
- Update the client and server JDE.INI files with the new password in [DB SYSTEM SETTINGS] and [SECURITY] sections. Ensure password case sensitivity.
- On JAS server, change the JDBJ.INI files with new password in the [JDBj-BOOTSTRAP SESSION] section.
- Run PORTTEST with the new system user and password.
- Enable Security Server in client and server JDE.INI files.
- Start E1 service(s). If using multiple servers (logic, enterprise), start services on the server designated as the primary Security Server.
- Submit a UBE to the server. This will ensure connectivity to the database.
- Have HTML users login and also submit a UBE to the server.
Hope that helps...
