Basic info about JDE webserver and JAS.ini 's location


Websphere Application Server (WAS) is from IBM and can be installed on different OS like:
Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX (IBM), Windows 2008 x64, Windows 2008 R2 x64 or AS400.

Oracle Application Server 10g R3 (10.1.3.x) (OAS) is from oracle and its support ends with TR 8.98.4.x, is not supported on 9.x tools releases.
Note: OC4J is from OAS

Weblogic Application Server (WLS) is from Oracle and can be installed on different OS like:
Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, AIX (IBM), Windows 2008 x64 or Windows 2008 R2 x64.

These are the supported web servers for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.


You will have the JAS.ini in 2 locations on the application server machine, one for the SM agent and the other one in the app server location:

WLS:
C:\jde_home\SCFHA\targets\JAS_DV\config
C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\JAS_\stage\JAS_DV\app\webclient.war\WEB-INF\classes

WAS:
C:\jde_home\SCFHA\targets\JAS_DV\config
C:\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\installedApps\JASDVNode01Cell\JAS_DV.ear\webclient.war\WEB-INF\classes

Both locations needs to be in sync.
